- See who added what. Every place shows the friend it came from, and a badge counts what’s new since you last looked.
- Nobody joins without accepting. Editors add places, viewers browse — you choose per invite.
- Bookings are shared. Notes never are. The group sees what’s locked in — and what’s favorited. Your notes stay only yours.

Where can Pinway save places from?
Instagram (reels, posts, carousels — even a restaurant’s profile), TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, Google Maps and Apple Maps links, and any website — a hotel’s own page, a blog post, a tour operator. If it’s a place — a restaurant, hotel, beach, attraction — Pinway can read it. Shopping and streaming links it’ll politely turn down.
How does it find places in a video?
Pinway listens to the audio, reads the caption, and reads the text on carousel slides — then looks up every place it finds on Google Maps. So the name, rating, hours and map pin come from Google’s live data, not from a guess. Sometimes a post has no findable place, and Pinway says so instead of inventing one.
When does it launch?
Pinway is in private beta on iPhone right now. We’re opening it up in waves, in waitlist order — join and you’ll hear from us when it’s your turn.
What about Android?
iPhone first — Android is coming. Join the waitlist and tap “On Android?” so we know to count you in; we’ll email you when it ships.
How much will it cost?
We haven’t set pricing yet — that comes closer to launch, and we’ll say it here first. One promise now: no surprise charges on anything you’ve already saved.
Does Pinway post anything or see my accounts?
It never posts anything, anywhere. Pinway doesn’t connect to your Instagram or TikTok account and can’t see your feed, your saved folders, or your DMs — it only reads the links you hand it. One optional exception: you can link Instagram DMs by sending our account a short code, so reels you DM us land in your Pinway — that stores the Instagram ID the code came from, and nothing else.
Can my friends see my notes?
No. In a shared list, the group sees the places, who added them, and what’s booked or favorited. Your notes on a place are always private to you.
